BIOGRAPHY

​

Paul Rees is a founding partner of Weiler & Rees and focuses his practice on tax planning, estate planning, business transactions, succession planning, and wealth transfer strategies.

​

Mr. Rees advises closely held businesses, business owners, families, and individuals on entity formation, business structuring, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, and estate administration matters. His practice emphasizes practical planning strategies designed to protect assets, preserve wealth, and support long-term business and family goals.

​

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Rees served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge D. Irvin Couvillion of the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C. He earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from Boston University School of Law after graduating from Tulane University Law School.

​

Mr. Rees has practiced tax law in Louisiana for more than two decades and continues to advise clients on complex planning and transactional matters throughout the state.
